Privacy Faq:
Do I need an Account?
No, You can skip to the section that allows you to order without an account. Accounts are handy for repeat visitors. If you have an account, you don't have to fill in all that info everytime you buy.
What personal information do we gather and how do we use it?
When you order, we need to know your name, email address, mailing
address, shipping address and your phone number to aid in proper delivery. An email address is very helpful as this allows us to process and fulfill your order and to notify you of your order status.
When you sign up for services like Newsletters or download certain
software or plug-ins made available by us through our site, we need
only an email address -- which we use to send the information you
requested. We are a very busy, family business and rely on repeat customers. We don't send out emails unnecessarily or adds. WE DO NOT AND WON'T SELL INFORMATION.
When you submit a customer feedback, we also ask for your email address but we will not display it with your feedback. This is for our reference purposes so we can get in touch with you.
How does BigGreenBuddha.com protect customer information?
BigGreenBuddha.com is scanned daily by McAfee Secure to keep your personal information safe. This site is tested and certified daily to pass the “McAfee Secure” Security Scan. To help address concerns about possible hacker access to your confidential data, and the safety of visiting this site, the "live" McAfee Secure mark appears only when this site passes the daily McAfee Secure tests.
All your ordering information -- including
your name, address, and credit card number -- is encrypted using a
secure server for maximum security. Your credit card and billing
information cannot be read as it travels to our ordering system. We have partnered with PayPal.com and Google Checkout to take payments using all types of credit/debit cards. Chances are you are already part of their records! No information about your credit card stays on our website nor is it available to our employees. PayPal is owned by Ebay; one of the success stories of the internet and you will see and can check their security before entering any information. Always make sure to look for the https at the beginning of any website asking for credit information.
One of the newest scams is calling you and electronically fooling your caller I.D. by using a bank or website phone number. Unfortunately, there are websites that offer this scam service to criminals phishing for your account information. We will never call you unless you request us to call, and even then you should call us back to verify it is a legitimate call. Most of our best customers know us by our voices, however.
